NIGERIAN MUSICIAN SODIQ ABUBAKAR YUSSUF BIOGRAPHY
On May 6, 1985, CDQ ( Sodiq Abubakar Yusuf) was born. He was born in Orile, a Lagos neighborhood, but he is a native of Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. He returned to Lagos State after completing his secondary school education in Ilorin, where he earned a B.Sc in Economics.
From 2013 until the present, there has been a focus on quality. CDQ went on to collaborate with M.I.on his first professional music project, which he released in 2008, after working as a back-up singer for Da Grin. He received a recording contract with Masterkraft’s General Records the next year after winning a rap battle at the weekly Industry Nite in December 2012.
His breakout single, “Indomie,” was released in 2014 and featured Olamide’s vocals as well as a Davido remix. The Masterkraft-produced single not only propelled CDQ’s career forward, but it also earned him two nominations for the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Awards and a nomination for The Headies 2015 in the Best Street-Hop Artist category.
CDQ enlisted the services of Wizkid to participate on the song “Nowo E Soke,” which was released as the album’s first single, after signing a deal with the Nigerian singer-songwriter in anticipation of his debut studio album, Quality. Unlimited L. A, an afro hip hop video director, directed the music video for the song, which won the Nigeria Music Video Awards’ Best Afro Hip Hop Video category in 2016. He revealed the album’s cover art on August 16, 2016, and the record was published on August 22nd via General Records to rave reviews.
On November 11, 2016, he formally formed N.S.N.S Entertainment, which stands for No Struggle No Success.
Much is unknown about his relationship, however he previously stated that he was unmarried and that he has a teen-aged child.
