Folarin Falana known as Falz (born October 27, 1990) is a Nigerian rapper, songwriter, and actor who started his career in secondary school after founding a group named “The School Boys” with a classmate. Falz is the son of renowned lawyers and human rights campaigners Funmi and Femi Falana, who raised him in the Mushin local government area of Lagos State. Falz attended St. Leo’s Catholic Primary School in Ikeja and Olashore International School in Osun State, respectively, for his elementary and high school studies. He received an LLB honors degree in law from the University of Reading in England. After graduating from Nigeria Law School in Abuja in 2012, he was admitted to the Nigerian Bar.
When Falz was in high school, he began playing music as a hobby. With a friend, he founded “The School Boys,” a musical ensemble. Shakara: The Mixtape was released in 2009, and it was a collection of some of his tracks.
Falz made his debut in the Nigerian music business in 2011 with the track “WazUp Guy,” followed by “High Class” and “Currency.” Falz was named one of the “Artists To Watch in 2014” by tooXclusive on January 2, 2014. Falz released a new album titled 27 to commemorate his 27th birthday on October 27th, 2017. Because it was not publicized prior to its release, this record came as a shock. Davido, Olamide, Burna Boy, Wande Coal, Maleek Berry, Sir Dauda, Medikal, Terry Apala, and Ycee were among the many artists who performed at the event.
Falz released “This Is Nigeria,” a music video inspired by Childish Gambino’s “This Is America,” in May 2018. It brought up issues in Nigeria, such as bribery and corruption. NBC (National Broadcasting Commission) banned the song a few months later, stating it was vulgar.”If they ban this song, then I don’t understand them,” Falz stated when interviewed. Falz, on the other hand, has filed a N100 million lawsuit against NBC.

Many people discovered Falz wasn’t dating her after her marriage to Adekunle Gold, despite media reports to the contrary. Falz doesn’t have a girlfriend as he claimed.
