NIGERIAN ACTOR FEMI BRANCH BIOGRAPHY
On May 14, 1970, Femi Branch was born. In Sagamu, Nigeria, his parents were teachers. Before going to the Airforce Secondary School in Ikeja, he went to Satellite Town Primary School in Amuwo Odofin. He then went on to Obafemi Awolowo University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dramatic Arts despite being admitted to study Religious Studies department.
In 1991, he began his career at Obafemi Awolowo University, the same year he appeared in the Yoruba stage play Eniyan. He later appeared in the film Orisun (meaning: Origin), which was produced by Obafemi Awolowo University staff members, but his first television appearance was in 2003 in an MTN Group television commercial titled “Dance with me. ” Femi is best known for playing “Oscar” in the Nigerian soap opera Domino. He has since appeared in over a hundred Nigerian films, directing and producing a few of them.
Femi married Ibitola Owosanoye and had two children, Nuella Branch and Nathan Branch. At his installation as the Jagun Asa of Edeland in March 2018, he showed off his new wife. Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal, Laminisa I, crowned the actor Jagun.
Femi has won numerous awards, including the City People Movie Special Recognition Awards, the Ambassador of Obafemi Awolowo University Awards, the Actor of the Year Award at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic in Ogun State, Special Recognition Awards at the University of Ilorin, and the African Youth Council Special Recognition Awards. Also up for Best Actor in a Lead Role – English at the 2018 Best of Nollywood Awards.
