On October 21, 1974, Nse Ikpe-Etim was born in Lagos. Etim went to Kaduna State’s Awa Nursery School and Command Primary School, after which she went on to St. Louis College in Jos and the Federal Government Colleges in Jos and Ilorin to further her srudies. Because of her father’s job with the Central Bank of Nigeria, she said her family was frequently relocated to different parts of the country. Etim graduated from the University of Calabar with a bachelor’s degree in Theater Arts.

At the age of 18, Nse Etim began acting on stage while attending university. Inheritance, a family soap opera, was her first appearance on television. She worked in the banking profession as well as with radio and television stations before going full-time into the Nigerian film industry.
Nse Etim began working in the industry full-time in 2007, and shot to fame in 2008 with Emem Isong’s Reloaded, on which she worked alongside Nollywood icons Ramsey Nouah, Rita Dominic, Ini Edo, and Desmond Elliot. She has been a screen favorite with a large fan base thus far, and she has used her film performances to make beneficial contributions. Sophia Loren, an Italian actress and singer, inspired her to pursue acting.

Clifford Sule, a childhood friend of Nse Ikpe-Etim, is her husband. On February 14, 2013, the pair married. Adenomyosis was discovered in the actress ( a gynecological medical condition in which the inner lining of the uterus breaks through the muscle walls of the uterus). In 2016, she underwent a hysterectomy (womb removal) to save her life. In an interview, she confessed that her condition had stopped her from becoming a mother.

Etim had won several honors. She earned the Best Actress in a Drama category at the 2014 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards in 2014 for her role as ‘Nse’. in the film ‘Journey to Self.’ She has also won Nigerian Entertainment Awards for Best Actress Film/Short Story (2010), 2012 Nollywood Movies Awards for Best Actress in a Supporting Role (2012), Best of Nollywood Awards for Best lead actress in an English Movie (2012), Africa Magic viewers choice awards for Best actress in a Drama (2014), Best of Nollywood Awards for Best actress in a Leading Role (2015), Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards for Best actress in a Leading Role (2015), Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards for Best actress in a Leading (2017) and several others. She has an estimated net worth of $500,000.
