BIOGRAPHY OF ACTOR OSITA IHEME

Osita Iheme, MFR is a Nigerian actor who was born on February 20, 1982. He is from Mbaitoli in Nigeria’s Imo State. Iheme is from Abia State and holds an MBA from Enugu’s Institute of Management Technology (IMT). He aspired to be a lawyer after finishing his studies at IMT, but in 1998 he started a career in film acting, appearing in modest roles at first.

Osita Iheme was frequently typecast as a child early in his career. He rose to prominence in 2003 when he co-starred with Chinedu Ikedieze in the comedy film Aki na Ukwa, in which he played Pawpaw. Osita Iheme portrayed a mischievous child in this part. In many of his films, he has played the character of a child, but has since moved on to more mature roles. As a result, many consider the duo to be one of the funniest Nollywood comic pairs of all time.

He is the Rotary International District 9110’s New Generation Ambassador and the author of the book INSPIRED 101. Osita Iheme has appeared in over a hundred films and is one of Nollywood’s most well-known actors. Iheme, like his onscreen counterpart Chinedu Ikedieze, has a slim build. Because of his stature, Iheme has an advantage over other performers in the Nigerian film industry.

He has progressed from a comic actor to a multidimensional recognized actor in his profession. This has earned him respect in the Nigerian film business as well as among its fans, as well as various prizes.

However, he stated in 2018 that he aspires to be a politician in the near future.
In 2007, and again in 2011, comic relief performer Osita Iheme, better known as Pawpaw, earned the African Movie Academy Awards’ Lifetime Achievement Award.
In 2014, he was named Best Actor at the African Magic Viewers Choice Awards.
To honor his contribution to the comedic genre of films President Goodluck Jonathan bestowed the Nigerian national honor of Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) on him in 2011.
Osita Iheme’s portrayal in the 2002 film Aki na Ukwa alongside fellow little person actor Chinedu Ikedieze is still spoken about, and the duo, particularly Osita’s character, has been trending through memes on Twitter and other social media platforms since 2019. This won him a worldwide following.

His estimated net worth is $3.8 million.
